With over 20 years’ experience within the contaminated land remediation industry, working both as a consultant and contractor, Sam brings a comprehensive technical, operational and regulatory skill set to John F Hunt Regeneration.

He has worked across several sectors including residential development, commercial development, industrial, major land regeneration and utilities.

A Chartered Waste Manager and Qualified Person, Sam promotes ‘sustainable remediation solutions’ at all stages throughout the project lifecycle.

In addition, Sam undertakes Research and Development projects focusing on novel remedial technologies, where several technologies have been successfully implemented at full-scale.

Sam is involved in every section of a project, from design, regulatory negotiations and implementation, through to verification and close-out.

Joining John F Hunt Regeneration in 2013 as Managing Director, Ben brings a wealth of technical, practical and commercial knowledge associated with the redevelopment of brown field land and the management of environmental liabilities.

He is an established industry professional who has experience of working in both environmental consultancy and contracting for both public and private sector clients including, banks, funding institutions, multinationals, venture capitalists, lawyers and property companies.

Ben has worked on high profile projects including the remediation, enabling and redevelopment of sites which have had a legacy of industrial usage. He is well versed in working with a variety of clients including those involved with industrial, manufacturing, retail, house building, energy and infrastructure sectors.

Having joined John F Hunt Water Tech as Operations Manager, Steve is an integral part of the management team. He was involved with setting up the new Pumping Solutions Division of the business, which became fully operational in 2021, and focuses on the hire, sales, repairs, electrical and installation services for specialist pumping equipment.

Prior to this, he had over 25 years of experience working within the Specialist Pump Solutions sector and possesses a wealth of technical, practical, and commercial knowledge.

Having previously worked in Senior Management roles, Steve’s expertise covers numerous high-profile projects for the Royal Navy, Environmental Agencies, Thames Tideway Tunnel, Installation Manager for United Utilities (Amp) contracts, and more recently HS2, showcasing his diverse skill set. This reflects a rich background, dealing with assorted challenges and industries to provide suitable and effective pumping solutions.

Wayne Sides joined John F Hunt Water Tech as General Manager in September 2021, bringing with him his extensive experience within the specialist pumping and major projects sector . During this time, he set up the specialist Pumping Solutions Division of the business and has provided innovative and environmentally friendly resolutions for customers, ensuring the safe completion of each project in the required timescale.

He began his career as a Mechanical Engineer, working his way up to senior management some 45 years ago within the specialist Pumps, Generators and Ultra High-Pressure Jetting sectors.

During his career, Wayne worked on some of the UK’s most prestigious contracts and projects, such as the MEPAS Scheme, IRIS Scheme, London Gateway, Shard, Thames Tunnel Tideway, and in more recent years, with John F Hunt Water Tech working on HS2, providing specialist pumping equipment, installation, and electrical site design procedures.

Working across a broad spectrum of industries has allowed him to gain extensive experience in Civil Engineering, Utilities, Specialist Marine Projects, Sand and Gravel Extraction, Nuclear, Renewable Energy, Shipyards, Offshore, Royal Navy, Petrochemical, to name but a few.
