MODERN SLAVERY & HUMAN TRAFFICKING
The John F Hunt Group has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. We are committed to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.
To this end, we educate all of our staff on the correct procedures and run spot checks on our subcontractors.

I.T. & DATA PROTECTION
Our I.T systems are managed in-house by the group’s I.T. and Communications company, TechVertu.
TechVertu is an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2013 accredited business, as well as a Cyber Security certified company, complying with all the internationally recognised ISO standards for Quality Management and Information Security systems, as well as with and the requirements of the UK government backed Cyber Essentials scheme.
We run an online company intranet and are always looking for way we can use technology to make our day to day working lives more efficient. We use drones and complex software to create 3D models and plan logistics.
In addition, the company is keen to invest in Business Information Modelling (BIM) and is using the technology on several projects.
EQUALITY, DIVERSITY & EQUAL OPPORTUNITY
John F Hunt Regeneration is committed to supporting, developing and promoting diversity and equality in all of our employment practices and activities and aim to establish an inclusive culture free from discrimination and based on the values of fairness, dignity and respect.
The company will support and develop staff from all backgrounds through providing everyone with access to facilities, personal and career development opportunities and employment on an equal basis regardless of race, national or ethnic origin, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or religion/belief.

SUPPLY CHAIN & ETHICAL TRADING
We procure our subcontractors and suppliers based on their abilities, values and cost efficiency to deliver high-quality services designed to meet the needs of our clients and promote sustainable development, in the process.
We seek local businesses, where possible, to reduce our carbon footprint and boost the local economy.
We audit our subcontractors and suppliers continuously to ensure they are upholding John F Hunt Regeneration’s standards.
Fair Payment
No matter how large or small the company, the John F Hunt Group recognise that strong relationships with our supply chain partners lead to successful working partnerships and an important part of this is prompt, transparent and fair payment. SUSTAINABILITY
John F Hunt are committed to environmental, social and economic sustainability, our focus being on achieving zero carbon by 2050. It is important to us that our work develops in a way that doesn’t compromise the future of the generations to come. See ‘Our Journey to Zero’
We put time and effort into research and development to life-cycle thinking and embed sustainability into our work plans, methodologies and procurement strategies.
THE ENVIRONMENT
We consider how we may protect and improve the environment at all stages of a project: from the way in which we procure our infrastructure and materials to how we intend to at the end of their use. We work closely with the Environment Agency to ensure we are receiving the most recent advice and information.
As a company, we have very high recycle rates as we prefer to treat and re-use material rather than dispose of it to landfill.
We also track recycle rates and carbon emissions and produce site waste management plans to track waste.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS
Regeneration can be very beneficial for local communities as it enables brownfield and derelict land to be built upon and can raise land value.
However, as with any works, communities can be worried about the effect our operations could have on their daily lives.
In the view of building a positive legacy for the company, we endeavour to employ local labour and suppliers, contribute positively to the communities we work in and provide support to anyone who feels they will be affected by our work.
We implement a three-point plan in our community liaison:
- Education – We explain the process, the monitoring data that we have collected, test results and why we’re doing what we’re doing.
- Minimal Disruption – We set up monitoring equipment at the site boundaries and ensure we keep within limits set at the start of the project. We ensure that logistics plans are in place so that deliveries are managed and road sweepers are employed when necessary.
- Work Together – The programme can be created or modified to fit around community events and requirements. We maintain an open line of communication to ensure that everyone is up-to-date on our progress.
Contact information is up outside our sites and any complaints will be taken seriously and dealt with swiftly.
TRAINING
Investing in the training and professional development of staff is key to the continual success of any business.
