Duty of Care for Waste Disposal

All parties in the Waste Disposal Chain have a responsibility to take reasonable measures to ensure that the water/waste:

• Is not disposed of unlawfully

• Is not disposed of in a manner likely to cause

o pollution of the environment
o harm to human health

• Does not escape

• Is transferred to an authorised person

• Is adequately described

• A written description is transferred with the waste
